We file your cyber crime complaint. ₹999.
Reviewed by the VirtualVakil legal team · Last reviewed:
For ₹999, VirtualVakil drafts your complaint for cybercrime.gov.in, a bank dispute letter under the RBI customer-liability rules, a police follow-up letter and, if the bank does not resolve it, an RBI Ombudsman escalation draft, and follows up with you on WhatsApp. You submit the complaint and the Ombudsman complaint from your own login: we never ask for your bank PIN, OTP or passwords. Reporting on 1930 and cybercrime.gov.in is free, and no one can guarantee that money will be recovered.
Lost money in the last few hours? Call 1930 now, before you message us. It is free, and the chance of a hold on the money depends on speed. Then come back to us for the complaint and the letters.
Seven things, one fee
Intake on WhatsApp
You tell us what happened in your own words, by text or voice note. We put the events in order and identify the transactions, accounts and numbers involved.
Evidence checklist
A checklist for your case: which screenshots, SMS, statements and links to collect, and how to keep them so they stand up later.
Your cybercrime.gov.in complaint, drafted
The incident description in order, field-by-field text ready to paste, and the sections of law that usually apply. You submit it from your login while we stay on the chat.
1930 follow-up
If you have called 1930, we link its acknowledgement number to the complaint and help you follow its status. If you have not, we tell you to call first.
Bank dispute letter
A letter to your bank under the RBI customer-liability rules that apply to your transaction date: the date you reported, the request for credit and a decision within the RBI time limits, and the bank's burden of proof.
Police follow-up letter
A letter to the cyber cell or police station asking for an FIR under BNSS S. 173 where the facts disclose a cognisable offence, and for action on any amount held.
RBI Ombudsman escalation draft
If the bank does not reply within 30 days or its reply is unsatisfactory, a complaint for cms.rbi.org.in, ready for you to file within the 90-day limit.
Who drafts and signs off your documents: our legal experts, lawyers only: an advocate from the VirtualVakil legal team.
What you do, and what we never ask for
What you do yourself
- Call 1930 yourself as soon as you can. It is free and does not wait for us.
- Log in to cybercrime.gov.in with your own mobile number. The portal sends the OTP to your phone; it stays with you.
- Submit the complaint and send the bank letter from your own login, registered email or branch, so that they come from the account holder.
- Sign the letters and visit the police station or bank if they ask you to.
What we never ask for
- Your UPI PIN, ATM PIN, card CVV or net banking password.
- Any OTP, including the cybercrime.gov.in login OTP.
- Remote access to your phone or computer, or screen-sharing apps.
- Payment to any personal UPI ID or to anyone who calls you claiming to be from us.
What we cannot promise
- That your money will be recovered or refunded. That depends on how fast it was reported, where it went, the banks and, often, a court.
- That the police will register an FIR or act within a particular time. That decision is theirs.
- Any outcome from your bank or the RBI Ombudsman.

Pay ₹999
You pay the fee once for the drafting and follow-up set out on this page. Payment is through a secure link sent in the chat, never to a personal UPI ID.
Receive the drafts
Your cybercrime.gov.in complaint text, the bank dispute letter and the police follow-up letter. Your complaint is filed within 72 hours of payment.
Submit them yourself, with us on chat
You file from your own login and send the letters; we check what you submitted.
Follow-up and escalation
We follow up with you on the responses, and prepare the RBI Ombudsman complaint if the bank does not resolve it.
The clocks that matter
- Now: call 1930 or report on cybercrime.gov.in. The earlier the report, the better the chance of a hold on the money.
- Transactions up to 31 December 2026: report within 3 working days of the bank's alert for zero liability where a third party caused the breach; the bank must credit the disputed amount within 10 working days of your report and resolve the complaint within 90 days.
- Transactions from 1 January 2027: report to the bank, and on 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in, within 5 calendar days; the bank must decide a domestic complaint within 45 days.
- After 30 days without a reply, or an unsatisfactory reply: you can complain to the RBI Ombudsman on cms.rbi.org.in, within 90 days.
These come from RBI rules on unauthorised and fraudulent electronic transactions. Who was at fault changes the outcome; see bank not refunding an unauthorised transaction.
Refunds of the ₹999 fee
Refund terms for this service: if your complaint is not filed within 72 hours of payment, you get the full ₹999 back. Because you submit from your own login, the 72 hours pause while we are waiting on you for a detail or the portal OTP.
